Vanessa graduated from UWS Macarthur in 2002 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Podiatry) with an award for excellence in clinical biomechanics. She has worked full-time in Sydney as a podiatrist in private practice since graduating, developing extensive experience in a wide range of lower limb problems. Understanding and listening to her patients is her first priority, followed by a personalised treatment plan to gain the best results possible. She welcomes challenging problems and has a passionate interest for biomechanics of the lower limb, orthotics and diagnosing painful problems. She enjoys analysing the lower limbs biomechanics and can explain a complex medical problem in simple terms. Vanessa will find the best treatment for plantar fasciitis, bunions, fungal nail infections, heel spurs or ensure general podiatry care.
Being a member of the Australian Podiatry Association (NSW/ACT), member of Sports Medicine Australia, and member of Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, she is exposed to current medical developments and scientific literature in relation to feet and sports. Vanessa enjoys treating novice problems like ingrown toenails to more complex sport problems.
Giving back to the community is very important to Vanessa’s work ethics, and as such has spent time volunteering at Mathew Talbot Hostel for homeless men at Wooloomooloo. She also volunteers her time to give podiatry talks to different community groups.
